During the week commencing 10th May, multiple year group teams at Guildford Rugby Club are competing to be the quickest to pass a rugby ball from Twickenham to the Principality Stadium in Cardiff and then run from the Principality Stadium to Murrayfield.

The equivalent distances for each team mean that they will be passing a rugby ball 145 miles (29,000 x 8 meter passes) and running 398 miles!

We are doing this to help raise money for our fantastic Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS staff, that are working very long days in challenging circumstances, saving lives fighting the Coronavirus for us.

The money raised will be used to supply treats and essential meals to help make their days that little bit easier at this time. Caterers are providing 4,300 ready prepared meals a week for NHS staff to take home after long demanding days across the various Surrey hospitals, meaning that feeding themselves and shopping is just one thing that these incredible people do not need to worry about.

However these meals are funded via donations and the hospital needs £12,000 per week to keep the scheme going and Guildford Rugby are aiming to help fund a number of weeks.

Please can you help Team Guildford, by making a donation to help us support these amazing people that are saving lives daily?

Updates will be provided regularly and progress can be seen by visiting www.guildfordrugbyclub.co.uk

Thank you for your support!
